What is pickleball?
It is a ball sport in which players hit plastic balls with a paddle each other on a court similar in size to a badminton court.
It's a sport that combines elements of tennis and table tennis.
It is currently experiencing a surge in popularity across a wide range of age groups.
What is unique about tonari de pickle
What's unique about tonari de pickle ①
Street pickleball
Many beautiful coats have recently
been made in Tokyo; however,
the court surface (floor) of tonari de pickle is
not embellished.
We've deliberately left the floor as it is,
without making any changes.
This is due to our concept that
we would like to focus on
"Spatial design" of vacant spaces
in commercial facilities and on
emphasising the concept of
creating casual interactions,

What's unique about tonari de pickle ②
Interaction between people
with different background
This coat is slightly narrower than the regular size.
Because there isn't much space around the court,
we would like you to enjoy the rally
around the non-volley zone (kitchen)
rather than having a full-on match,
while having fun with other players.
Through our pickleball court,
we would like to create an environment
where elementary school students, elderly people,
local residents, and inbound tourists
communicate naturally and comfortably.

What's unique about tonari de pickle ③
Diverse events
held on the court
The space of tonari de pickle
is not just a pickleball court
but a space where artists gather,
children engage in creative activities,
business professionals
devote themselves to learning.
We would like to overturning
what we've always considered "normal",
Through intergenerational exchange,
we will leave assets for the future
by maximising the potential of
pickleball courts.
